Excorts brings most powerful tractors to Nepal
Escorts, India’s leading tractor brand, today announced the Nepal launch of its two new series of tractors, the most powerful offerings in their respective categories. While the new FARMTRAC 6060 and 6065, in 60HP and 65 HP segment respectively are positioned in the high-end, premium tractor category; the new POWERTRAC Diesel-Saver Plus tractor series, available in 37 to 45 HP range, is placed in the mid-size, popular segment.
The Farmtrac 6060 and 6065 tractors are designed to cater to the progressive new- age Nepal farmer, who are smart, educated with an entrepreneurial bent of mind. They look for machines which are high on technology offering unbeatable power. Farmtrac 6060 and 6065 come with a new four-cylinder turbocharged, intercooled engine that delivers higher torque to run larger implements and pull heavier loads. These tractors perform bigger tasks in the least amount of time. The new Powertrac ‘DIESEL-SAVER PLUS’ tractor series, with a 10% power upgrade across its range, caters to the emerging ‘commerce-minded’ farmers, who use their tractors not just for regular farm work but also as a source of generating additional income. These tractors have new, bigger engines that not only provide state-of-the-art fuel-saving technologies, but also best-in-class power ratings.

Speaking at the launch Mr Shenu Agarwal, Head of Marketing, Escorts Agri Machinery said, Today, tractor usage is changing rapidly. On one side, shortage of labour has spurred farm mechanization, and on the other, tractors are increasingly being used for heavy-duty, non-farming applications. Farmers are therefore becoming more entrepreneurial with a commerce oriented mindset. They need more power to be able to do more work with their tractors, and higher mileage to be able to save costs. Both the new Farmtrac and the Powertrac series of tractors have achieved this technology feat of combining maximum power with the best-in-class fuel mileage.”

Added Mr. Sameer Tandon, Head of Sales, Service & Spare Parts, Escorts Agri Machinery, “Nepal is a high potential market for us. With the new products being launched today, we aim to revolutionalise the tractor market in the country. Going ahead, we will bring more products to the country that suit the local emerging needs, and will further strengthen our sales and service network to make sure that the benefits of these products are effectively delivered to our customer base.”
